A Look At The CAAFD Sponsored Valentine’s Day Fashion Show

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]On Valentine’s Day, February 14th 2016, CAAFD in collaboration with iFashion Network sponsored a New York Fashion Week show as part of the I’mpossible Challenge.  The I’mpossible Challenge is an initiative with the goal of finding tomorrow’s top designers and giving them a platform that would otherwise be unavailable to them.

The first designer to present at the show was Montreal based Pedram Karimi, and everyone in attendance could only utter  one word upon seeing his works: unique. All of his pieces were very stark; the only colors you could find were black, white, and beige. Long, flowing, tunic styled designs are a mainstay of Pedram’s designs, and that was put on display here. Pedram also creates genderless garments, something else that sets him apart from other luxury designers.

Samples of Pedram Karimi’s designs at the show can be found at the bottom of this page.

The show was concluded by the always lovely Philippines based Rosenthal Tee. Where Pedram started the show with genderless clothing featured on both men and women, Rosenthal brought out a strong sense of femininity with her streamlined but yet sophisticated pieces adorning only women. Rosenthal’s pieces were the perfect contrast to what Pedram designed, where Pedram utilized muted colors, Rosenthal’s designs ran the gamut of colors from red to blue, causing them to pop out even more than usual.

Samples of what Rosenthal Tee had for the show are at the bottom of the page.

The show was considered a success by all involved, and CAAFD is looking forward to its next standout show. More information on forthcoming shows can be found soon.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_style” interval=”3″ images=”2945,2944,2943,2942,2941,2940,2939,2938″ layout=”3″ gallery_style=”1″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” img_size=”600×900″][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_style” interval=”3″ images=”2951,2950,2949,2948,2947,2946″ layout=”3″ gallery_style=”1″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” img_size=”600×900″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
